Easton Suburban Water Authority was incorporated in 1957 by the City of Easton to provide
high-quality water to the municipalities surrounding the city. In January 2007, the Authority entered into a 25-year Lease Agreement with the City of Easton to assume the management and operational responsibilities, as well as all capital improvement initiatives, for the water system, including the Water Treatment Plant. In conjunction with this Lease Agreement, the Authority now provides water service to customers within the City of Easton also. Click for more information on the Lease Agreement.

Today, with over 50 employees, the Authority serves more than 30,000 customers in a
service area that includes the City of Easton, the Townships of Palmer,
Forks, Bethlehem, Williams and Lower Nazareth, and the Boroughs of Wilson, West Easton and Glendon.
About 28,300 customers are residential, 1,500 are commercial, 125 are industrial and 90 are
institutional. The Authority has the ability to produce 10 million gallons of water per day at the Water Treatment Plant, which draws water from the Delaware River.

At ESWA, our primary
mission is to provide quality water and service to customers at
a reasonable rate.
