Charles W. Churchman, Jr.
Member of the Board

Charles Churchman joined the Easton Suburban Water Authority Board of Directors in 1987 with a wealth of business experience and expertise. He is also a past Chairman of the Board. Before retiring in 1996, he was owner and Director of the Churchman Business School, as well as an instructor of Business Law and Accounting. He is an honors graduate from Lafayette College, as well as a retired First Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserves.


A past Trustee and current Elder of the Palmer Moravian Church, Mr. Churchman is extremely active in the community.

 

He is currently President of Easton Heights Cemetery, for which he has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1965. He is also a Board member of General Supply Company, Green Pond Country Club and the Moravian Hall Square Historic District organization.

Previously, Mr. Churchman served as the Forks Township Auditor and Chairman of the Forks Township Board of Supervisors and a member of the Lehigh/Northampton County Joint Planning Commission. During his tenure as a Supervisor, he was instrumental in obtaining the land for the Municipal Park and first municipal building. Additionally, Mr. Churchman formerly was active with the Easton Rotary Club, American Cancer Society, Association of Private Business Colleges, the State Board of Education and numerous other civic and education-related organizations.

Mr. Churchman and his wife have two children and five grandchildren. The couple resides in Easton.
