Capital Improvement Projects

City of Easton Water System Improvements Project
Cattell Street, College Avenue and North 3rd Street:
The water system work, handicap ramp installations and pavement restoration has been completed on Cattell Street, College Avenue and North 3rd Street.
Spring Garden Street:
The water system work and trench restoration work has been completed on Spring Garden Street. The remaining work includes the installation of new handicap ramps at the intersection with Bank Street and the milling and overlay of the wearing course on the street. This work should be completed by the end of November, 2011.
4th Street:
The water main on 4th Street has been installed and tested. The contractor is working on reconnecting the water laterals on 4th Street to the new water main as well as connecting the water main on the adjacent streets to the new water main. This work is scheduled to be completed by November 11, 2011. After the water system work has been completed, the trench restoration will be performed and the street will be milled and overlaid. This work is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2011.
Washington Street:
The water main on Washington Street has been installed and tested. The contractor will be working on reconnecting the water laterals on Washington Street to the new water main as well as connecting the water main on the adjacent streets to the new water main in early November 2011. This work is scheduled to be completed by November 18, 2011. The restoration of street will be performed in the Spring of 2012 once the trenches have surpassed the PennDOT required settlement time.
9th Street:
All water system work and pavement restoration has been completed on 9th Street. The installation of the new handicap ramps is scheduled to be performed in the Spring of 2012.
Berwick Street:
All water system work, pavement restoration and handicap ramp work has been completed on Berwick Street.
Lincoln Street:
All water system work and pavement restoration has been completed on Lincoln Street. The installation of the new handicap ramps is scheduled to be performed in the Spring of 2012.
Wilkes Barre Street:
All water system work, pavement restoration and handicap ramp work has been completed on Wilkes Barre Street.
Williams Street:
All water system work, pavement restoration and handicap ramp work has been completed on Williams Street.
7th Street, Wolf Avenue and Butler Street:
All water system work and pavement restoration has been completed on Butler Street, Wolf Avenue and 7th Street. The installation of the new handicap ramps began in the beginning of October 2011 and should be completed by the middle of November 2011.
Bushkill Drive:
All water system work and pavement restoration has been completed on Bushkill Drive.
Davis Street Pumping Station:
The new pumping station has been constructed and tested and will be placed in service in the beginning of November 2011. Once the new pumping station is placed in service, the old pumping station will be demolished and the remaining site work, including the installation of curbing, sidewalks and the driveway, will be completed. It is anticipated that the project will be completed by the beginning of December, 2011.
Georgetown Road Water System Improvements:
All water system work and pavement restoration related to this project has been completed.
Christian Springs Road/James Drive Water System Improvements:
All water system work and pavement restoration related to this project has been completed.
Lieberman Terrace Water System Improvements:
The new water main on Lieberman Terrace has been installed and tested. The Authority is planning to connect the service laterals to the new water main in November 2011. The restoration of the trenches will be performed once the service laterals are connected to the new water main.
